The “Festival of the Gulf ” Summer Courses of Musical Advancement organized by the Ente Concerti Castello di Belveglio, are open to citizens of all nationalities, students or graduates of conservatories, academies or music schools. Enrollment is made by completing the attached form (by June 30, 2010) to be sent to the Ente Concerti Castello di Belveglio, v. Mazzini 11, 14040 Belveglio (Asti) Italy together with payment of the enrollment fee of €60 (or for foreign students $60) not reimbursable in the event a student withdraws his participation. Participants have rooms with private bath and telephone (from two to four persons) at the
Fondazione Passarelli Insitute of
SanMarco di Castellabate (Salerno) Italy, situated in the center of a large private park. The Institute provides study rooms, restaurant, tennis courts and swimming pool, all included in the cost of the sojourn. Entrance to the Institue is reserve exclusively to participants (and eventual family members) of the summer courses. The reservations of the best rooms are reserved to the earliest enrollments. Normally no single rooms are available.
The beautiful sea coast of the zone (both sand and rocky areas) is 300 yards from the Institute, and the nearby ruins of Paestum are an important tourist site. During the Courses participants have the opportunity to perform as soloists or in groups, receiving upon completion a Diploma or certificate of participation. It is obligatory to frequent the daily lessons, but performance is at the discretion of the professor. It is also possible to frequent a second course of chamber music. All students are obliged to bring their instrument (except pianists and harpists), together with their music stand. The fee for participation includes ten days of lessons, room and board, and has to be received by June 30, 2010. Late applications (after June 30, 2010) would be accepted ONLY if there is more space available for new students.

Eventual family members who desire to accompany students are admitted at a cost of Euro 560 for the ten day period. These accommodations are of limited number and must be requested together with the application: they include use of the structures as described, and free entrance to the concerts. Accommodations are not available for periods shorter than the ten days of the courses, nor can they be extended for a longer period.
The lessons take place in the afternoon, beginning August 16th and end during the day of August 25th 2010. Meals are served beginning with breakfast on Aug. 16th ending with supper on Aug. 25th. The rooms are available from the evening of Aug. 15th and must be liberated by 8 o’clock in the morning of Aug. 26th.
The nearest railway station is Agropoli from where there are buses for
San Marco di Castellabate every half hour until 7:30 PM. If requested, a place in private bus may be reserved from Naples airport to the Foundation on Aug. 15th (two departures take place that day, one in the morning and one towards evening.
