 STEFAN LINEV, Conductor 

Stefan Linev, conductor, is a prominent nationally and internationally recognized conductor. He has been widely acclaimed for his tireless creative approach to programming and his inspired performances.

     A native of Bulgaria he began studying violin at age of five.  Mr. Linev has graduated from Sofia Music Academy, where he studied choral conducting with Prof. Vasil Arnaudov and orchestra conducting with Prof. Vladi Simeomov. 1990-91 he was a Fulbright Scholar at Yale University working with Eleazar DeCarvalho. Very soon he imposed his name in the panorama of the international concert range. At age 28 he was appointed as Music Director of Varna State Philharmonic, one of the leading orchestras in Eastern Europe.  Later on he accepted the position of Music Director of Russe Opera House in Bulgaria. In 2004 he made his Carnegie Hall debut with the Young Soloist Chamber Orchestra of New York. In 2006 Maestro Linev was apointed as Music Director and Conductor of BULGARIAN VIRTUOSI Chamber Orchestra and gave very well received and sold-out performance at CARNEGIE HALL, New York in April, 2007. He has more then 500 appearances across Europe including Germany, Italy, France, Belgium, Holland, Russia, Greece and thousands of performances in Bulgaria as a guest conductor of the top Bulgarian Orchestras.
